Dallas Fort Worth International (DFW) is enormous, with five terminals connected by the Skylink train, and the first thing to establish is which terminal you are in and whether rail helps. It often does: DART's Orange Line serves Terminal A for the run into Dallas, and TEXRail leaves from Terminal B towards Fort Worth, which makes DFW one of the better-connected American airports. Dallas Love Field (DAL) is the closer, smaller alternative with its own road and shuttle arrangements.

US airports do not sell tourist SIMs, so arriving connected has to be arranged in advance. There is no underground rail here, so DART's light rail, the Trinity Railway Express between the two cities and TEXRail are all surface routes with continuous signal. The metroplex sprawls, but so does the network, and dead spots inside the urbanised area are rare. Congestion appears at stadium events in Arlington, where a full crowd overwhelms local cells. Head out into the ranch country west of Fort Worth or south towards Waco and coverage follows the interstates while thinning on the rural farm roads.
