Find quick answers about setup, activation and your travel eSIM.
Is my personal data safe with eSIMify?
We encrypt payments and account data and only collect the information needed to deliver and support your eSIM. We do not sell your personal data.
How do I contact eSIMify support?
Our support team is available through in-app chat and by email at support@esimify.in. Please include your order number so we can help you faster.
Is my device compatible and unlocked?
Your phone must support eSIM and be carrier-unlocked to use eSIMify. Check the supported devices list at https://esimify.in/devices, or look for Add eSIM under your phone Cellular/Mobile Data settings.
Can I buy an eSIM before I travel?
Yes, and we recommend it. You can purchase and install the eSIM at home over Wi-Fi, then simply enable the line when you land so you have data the moment you arrive.
Can I get a refund if my eSIM does not work?
If an eSIM cannot be activated due to a technical issue on our side, our team will troubleshoot and, where it cannot be resolved, arrange a replacement or refund in line with our refund policy. eSIMs that have already been installed and used are generally non-refundable. Email support@esimify.in for help.
What payment methods does eSIMify accept?
You can pay using UPI, credit and debit cards, net banking, and popular wallets. All payments are processed securely and your card details are never stored on our servers.
How many eSIMs can I store on my device?
Most recent phones can store several eSIM profiles and keep two active at the same time. You can install multiple eSIMify plans and switch between them in your phone settings.
Do I have to set up the APN manually?
For most plans the APN is configured automatically. If you have no data after activation, set the APN shown on your plan page under Settings > Cellular/Mobile Data > eSIM > Cellular/Mobile Data Network.
Do I need Wi-Fi to use the eSIM?
You need an internet connection (Wi-Fi or your current mobile data) only to download and install the eSIM profile. After installation it runs on its own mobile network and no Wi-Fi is required.
My eSIM shows No Service. What should I do?
First make sure the eSIM line is turned on, Data Roaming is enabled for it, and you are in a covered area. Try selecting the network manually under Network Selection, then restart your phone. If it still fails, contact support@esimify.in with your order number.
How do I remove an eSIM from my phone?
Go to Settings > Cellular/Mobile Data, tap the eSIMify plan, and choose Delete eSIM or Remove Data Plan. Deleting an installed profile usually cannot be undone, so only remove it once the plan has expired.
Can I move my eSIM to a different phone?
An eSIM profile can normally be installed on only one device at a time, and many cannot be re-scanned once installed. If you need to change devices, contact support@esimify.in before removing the eSIM so we can advise on re-issuing it.
How do I make the eSIM my data line?
In Settings > Cellular/Mobile Data, select your eSIMify plan as the line for Cellular/Mobile Data and turn on Data Roaming for that line only. You can keep your primary SIM for calls if you wish.
Can I keep my home number active while using the eSIM?
Yes. Your eSIM works alongside your primary SIM, so you can keep your regular number for calls and SMS while using eSIMify for data. To avoid roaming charges, turn off data roaming on your primary line.
Will one eSIM work across several countries?
Single-country plans work in one country, while our Regional and Global plans cover multiple countries on a single eSIM. Check the coverage list on each plan page before buying.
Can I share my eSIM data over a hotspot?
On most plans and devices you can turn on Personal Hotspot or tethering to share your eSIM data with other devices. A few plans restrict tethering, and this is noted on the plan page.
Can I make calls and send SMS with my eSIM?
Most eSIMify travel plans are data-only. You can still call and message over the internet using apps like WhatsApp, FaceTime, or Telegram. Plans that include a local number for calls and SMS are labelled clearly on the plan page.
What happens when my data runs out?
Your connection pauses once the data or validity ends, and you are never charged extra for overage. To keep using mobile data, top up the existing eSIM or purchase a new plan.
Can I top up or recharge my eSIM?
Yes, many plans support top-ups. Open the eSIMify app, select the eSIM, and tap Top up to add more data or extend validity without installing a new profile. If a plan is not top-up eligible you can simply buy a new one.
How do I check how much data I have left?
Open the eSIMify app and go to My eSIMs to see your remaining data and days of validity. On some networks you can also dial the carrier balance code shown on your plan page.
When does my data plan start counting?
Validity usually starts when the eSIM first connects to a supported network at your destination, not when you buy or install it. The exact activation rule is shown on each plan page before checkout.
How soon can I use my eSIM after buying it?
Most eSIMs are delivered within a few minutes of a successful payment, and your plan is ready as soon as you install the profile. If you do not receive your QR code within 30 minutes, check your spam folder or contact support@esimify.in.
What if I cannot scan the QR code?
You can install the eSIM manually. In Settings > Add eSIM choose Enter details manually and type the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code shown on your eSIMify order page. The same details are available in the app under My eSIMs > Manual installation.
How do I install my eSIM after purchasing?
After your order is confirmed you will receive an eSIM QR code by email and in the eSIMify app under My eSIMs. On your phone go to Settings > Cellular/Mobile Data > Add eSIM (or Add Data Plan), choose Scan QR code, and point the camera at the code. Follow the on-screen steps to finish installing the profile.
How do I activate an eSIM?
Activation methods vary by carrier but generally involve scanning a QR code provided by the carrier, using a carrier's app, or manually entering activation details in your device's cellular settings.
Are eSIMs secure?
eSIMs offer the same level of security as traditional SIM cards. They use encryption and secure authentication methods to protect your cellular account and personal information.
How do I manage multiple eSIM profiles on my device?
You can store and manage multiple eSIM profiles directly from your device's settings. This allows you to switch between different carriers and data plans easily, depending on your needs.
Can I use my eSIM when traveling abroad?
Yes, eSIMs are ideal for international travel, allowing you to switch to local carriers or international data plans without the need for physical SIM cards. This can help you avoid expensive roaming charges.
Is my device eSIM compatible?
Most modern smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches support eSIM technology. Popular devices include the latest models from Apple, Google Pixel, and Samsung Galaxy. Check your device's specifications for eSIM compatibility or view this page on Esimify: https://esimify.in/devices
