Best eSIM for Norway

The bill is what catches people out in Norway. It sits outside the EU roaming arrangement, so daily roaming charges that would be waived a border away apply here in full, and a fortnight of fjords can produce a phone bill larger than a night's accommodation. Travellers notice it only after they get home.

The trip itself is unusually data-hungry for a Nordic country. Norway is driven, not toured on foot: ferry timetables that change with the season, tunnel and mountain-pass status, weather that decides whether a hike happens, and parking that is paid by app rather than by machine.
