Why use an eSIM in Honduras?
Honduras splits neatly into two trips that share an entry point. Divers head for Roatán and the Bay Islands, flying in via Roatán (RTB) or connecting through San Pedro Sula (SAP), while the mainland route runs through Palmerola International (XPL) near Comayagua and on to the Maya ruins at Copán. Both depend on connections that shift — inter-island flights, ferry sailings from La Ceiba and shuttle transfers — and on dive shops and hotels that confirm by WhatsApp. Sorting a local SIM between a long flight and a ferry is not realistic. An eSIM installed at home connects when you land and covers both halves of the country.
