Busan is reached either through Gimhae International Airport (PUS), west of the city, or by KTX from Seoul into Busan Station, and a surprising number of visitors do the second. From Gimhae, the Busan-Gimhae Light Rail Transit connects to Sasang on Metro Line 2, and taxis take around half an hour to Seomyeon. Korean prepaid lines involve identity checks and a counter queue. An eSIM set up at home on Wi-Fi is already installed and waiting; it activates on your phone's first registration on a Korean network, and the validity clock starts then rather than at purchase.

Data matters at that first moment because Busan sprawls along a coastline rather than around a single centre, and the distance from the airport to Haeundae is nothing like the distance to Nampo-dong.
