Why use an eSIM in Oman Local?
This is the local-network plan for Oman, sold alongside the standard Oman eSIM. It behaves the same way for a traveller: install it before you fly, land at Muscat or Salalah, and the data is live without a visit to a counter. The difference sits in which network the plan attaches to, which is printed on the plan card above. If you are choosing between the two, take whichever suits the route you have planned in the interior, and read the coverage notes on both cards.
Oman rewards a working data connection more than most Gulf destinations, because so much of the country is driven rather than flown. The road to Jebel Shams, the turn-off to Wadi Shab, the coastal run down to Sur and the long desert stretch towards Salalah are all navigated with a phone on the dashboard.
