Prague absorbs almost every first-time visitor's whole itinerary, and it is a data-hungry city to walk. You are reading tram numbers off a live map in Malá Strana, translating a beer-hall menu, booking a Bolt from Žižkov at one in the morning and checking whether the Astronomical Clock has drawn a crowd before you set off. Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG) sells prepaid SIMs, but the counters are the usual airport premium over a Vodafone or O2 shop in the city, and the queue arrives just when your patience is gone.
